Supporting change - some client solutions
Cadence will support you to implement effective change in your organisations by: building change capability, facilitating planning processes and building skills to sustain required behaviours.
Building change capability

Our programmes include:

|
Facilitating Change |
|
This training programme is for internal change leaders and includes how to plan and lead change. Following the training, additional support and coaching can be provided.
|
|
Preparing for Change |
|
This training programme is for people managers. The programme covers how to prepare personally for change and how to support others. |
Change on the Horizon
A large organisation facing a significant change in the operating environment and redundancies engaged Cadence to design a programme to prepare managers for their change roles.
All the managers had previously experienced change in the organisation. Most had attended change management training as part of these previous exercises. The organisation needed them to be refreshed and positive about this change.
A workshop was designed to engage the managers in the change process and to build a positive climate and confidence amongst the group. The workshop provided practical skills for participants to manage themselves and their staff during the change process.
|
What next?
Cadence has provided training to a number of internal change teams (and individuals) on leading effective change. The training has provided tools for planning the change including ways to build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
Some teams have used the training process to develop a change plan. Follow up training and/or coaching has provided opportunities to review the processes and to make sure the change is on track.

Facilitating change

Our services include:

|
Facilitation of change planning |
|
Coaching change leaders |
Getting started
Cadence facilitation of planning has included working with new teams who need to establish ways of working together as well as established teams needing support in their planning.
Cadence works closely with each team to their determine needs. We then use our experience to design processes that will assist the team to achieve the objectives.
|
Sound support
Cadence has coached a number of managers and teams leading change. Our role is a sounding board and to ask questions. We use our expertise and experience to support people in their decision making.
The Cadence approach is to support rather than to manage the change. In some situations our involvement is sought when there is a problem. Other teams appreciate the Cadence support as a member of the team.
|
Aligning behaviours / processes

Building and sustaining new behaviours may require new systems and processes as well as training.
We can support you by:

|
Evaluating current systems and processes |
|
Designing new systems and processes |
|
Undertaking a training needs analysis |
|
Developing training programmes (for delivery by us or internal staff) |
|
Developing coaching materials for managers |
New directions
Cadence worked with a national service organisation that had experienced significant change over a period of time and needed to align behaviours and processes for the future.
Cadence developed a leadership development programme that ran over a period of six months. The programme included workshops, an intranet site for sharing experiences and ideas, and 'learning teams' to work on projects.
Cadence also developed a relationship management programme that presented new ways of working to experienced staff, developed tools for ongoing coaching and tools for the development of new staff.
|
We're no longer in sales
A large multi-national company seeking to change the relationship with clients from one of sales to a partnership used Cadence in a variety of way to embed the change.
The shift in thinking required a completely different way of working with clients and the need for representatives to develop business knowledge so they could provide advice.
This process of aligning the behaviours and processes included an assessment/development centre to identify individual needs; a series of workshops covering the skills for building relationships as well as business skills. We developed business assessment tools to use with clients.
We also worked with the company to review the recruitment and performance management processes and provided workshops and tools for managers who would provide the ongoing support and coaching.
